DESIGNPHILOSOPHY
The design work always start with observation. Looking at the car from different perspectives. What design features can we find that really sets it apart?
We were caught by the form of the sleek side mirrors, the flush door handles, the slightly concave lower side and maybe the most beautiful back in automobile design, with its signature tail lights.
This inspired us in designing our Razor wheel.
THE RAZOR
The Razor has many interesting design elements. The most recognizable shape is the sculptured “D’s” that takes care of the brake ventilation.
In contrast to that we shaped a beautifully curved bowl, creating deep reflections while visually connecting the Ds with the center area.
The bowl shape continues all the way to the center cap. What about the lug nuts? In our strive for efficiency we hid them behind a cover with a minimal gap. The aim is creating a clean, flush appearance just like the door handles.
As a centerpiece in the soft bowl we designed a detailed high gloss ornament with a discrete logo. The ornament is seamlessly wrapping around our TNA center cap which is interchangeable with the OEM center cap.

Our relentless striving for perfection consequently led to being internationally awarded with the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design, the iF Design Award in the product discipline, and at the IAA in Frankfurt we were awarded in the Automotive Brand Contest from the German Design Council, scoring in both the Brand Design, and Future Mobility & Parts categories.
THE CHELA
Our second design is called Chela, meaning the claw of a predator animal in Italian. It was the inspiration for the carefully sculptured spokes of the alloy wheel, raising from beneath the satin black aero disc, creating a dynamic contrast. The claw shape can be found on the edges of the front spoiler on the latest Model YP and 3P, but also on the taillights on all contemporary Model Y and Model 3. A design feature associated with performance.
